Junk Journal Supplies

Junk Journal Supplies

If I were forced to only ever express myself creatively with one main style the rest of my life, I'd hands down choose junk journals. It's the most freeing way to express yourself and capture memories, because there is nothing off limits in them.

No matter what kind of crafting it is you love, it can be included in junk journaling in one way or another.

And on top of that, you can easily find most of the supplies because it's things you either toss into the trash or toss into a box, then rarely ever look at again.

Think of things like receipts, paper bags, pamphlets, random papers from anything and everything - it's truly all perfect for junk journals.

So while this is not an exhaustive list, I'm going to share a few things you need to make the best junk journals possible!

*if you purchase from this list, I will receive compensation*
If you're even a casual crafter, you probably have most of the things I use on a daily basis when creating junk journals.
However, the main thing I'll recommend is a book binding kit - because the May 2023 Junk Journaling class shows exactly how to use it to create the strudiest bound book I've ever made.

Other than that, here are a few other things you might gather before you start working...

  • Papers of all shapes, sizes, colors and textures.
  • Scissors
  • Double sided tape or washi tape
  • Paper clips
  • Tags
  • String or ribbon
  • Stamps and ink
  • Decorative Scissors
  • Paper punches
  • Stapler

But, if you get really creative, almost anything in your craft room or space can be utilized in one way or another. All it takes is some imagination and a bit of time and you can create some interesting pages and journals that will fit any theme.

Stay creatively curious!
